What started with a promise to her daughters became what Moody Moon Ridge is today. Sue's 20+ years in high-end construction across Chicago and Tennessee have shaped her eye for timeless design, thoughtful craftsmanship, and the details that turn a house into a home.
Why I Founded Moody Moon Ridge
Moody Moon Ridge has been and continues to be a labor of love for me. Its creation stems from the deep connection I have with my family and those closest to me. As a child growing up, I was incredibly fortunate to reside on the same block in the Northwest side of Chicago with my extended family, forming a tightly-knit community. It would not be an exaggeration to say that we did everything together. From sharing family dinners every night to taking vacations as a unit, I keenly felt the unwavering love and connection among my family and loved ones.
I established Moody Moon Ridge with the hope that you and your loved ones will discover a place to stay connected, share memories, and cultivate your lives together. I envision you laughing heartily over a family dinner, holding hands while traversing our winding mountain trails, exchanging secrets while enjoying cannonballs in our pool, or simply relishing in the quiet evening over a campfire with those you hold most dear in life. In 2024, Sue (or as her students call her "the Reading Lady") founded a reading program at local Cosby Elementary School. She is deeply passionate about raising the literacy rates, and there is no better place to start than home.
At Moody Moon Ridge, 5% of profits are donated to the reading initiative at Cosby Elementary School.
